		<description><![CDATA[The AT&amp;T prophecy was largely fulfilled, but they did miss the mark on the future of phone booths.  On the other hand, they did anticipate the revolutionary ways we would fax apple juice to each other.

     Regarding Chernobyl, I read the account at http://www.kiddofspeed.com/ long ago, and while I have no independent verification, it seems authentic to me.  That site does not dwell on the genetic legacy of the disaster, but it does explore the bizarreness of the restricted zone in this century.  For example, as horrible as the radiation is, for many sorts of wildlife the area is now a better environment than it was when heavily populated.]]></description>
