Been having weird dreams lately. Even odder is that I still remember (most of) ‘em even after I’ve staggered into the bathroom…
Maybe it’s due to my re-reading of Shirer’s epic “The Rise & Fall” (entirely byronius’ fault btw), or cheap ale, or what… but try to humour me. Here ’tis…

soon i will be submitting a book of over 80 drawings and collages and paintings to the new brooklyn art library for their collection…
and begin work on another book for the exhibit/collection that’s more word heavy … the library just opened…
the books will be touring the country for a short time (one day in sf) since they have to be tightly controlled, all have barcodes on them and i already have my library card (for 1/2 a year now, at least)… so i can see who’s looked at my book… and i’ll have a website of its contents too… scary

Every year, Eschaton, Sadly, No!, and some other sites go at each other with painful music videos. So far, this is the best. I actually kind like it.
A few years ago, this war netted me the ‘Moscow’ video, as well as the excellent ‘My Loony Buns Are Fine Benny Lava’ piece which eventually overwhelmed the competition with its juicy weirdness.

Political opinions are considered choices, and in Western democracies the right to choose one’s opinions — freedom of conscience — is considered sacrosanct.
But recent studies suggest that our brains and genes may be a major determining factor in the views we hold.
A study at University College London in the UK has found that conservatives’ brains have larger amygdalas than the brains of liberals. Amygdalas are responsible for fear and other “primitive” emotions. At the same time, conservatives’ brains were also found to have a smaller anterior cingulate — the part of the brain responsible for courage and optimism.
Patterns laid down over the last thirty million years are desperately struggling to stay relevant, even to the end that the species is made extinct by such behaviors.
Wake ‘em up.
