This One.

I’m not one of the people that have a long list of grievances with this particular fellow. A short list, perhaps, and mostly minor.
I tend to think we don’t deserve him. I think we’re extraordinarily lucky he came along. And once he’s gone, I think we’ll miss him. Terribly.
45 to 48 percent of registered voters would vote for either Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney over Barack Obama. This fact bodes quite ill for our fate as a nation, I think. Clearly.
Lucky.

The WSJ is as bad as Faux News. They run this piece: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203806504577179303330474134.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
clearly thinking that no one reads the NYTimes which ran this piece about the origins of this country’s capitalist extremists and greedy religious fanatics. see: http://campaignstops.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/01/17/for-god-so-loved-the-1-percent/

My god that was disgusting. This is exactly why organized religion is dead — its leaders only use its tenets to cover crimes. Such specious reasoning. Such bizarre disconnects. ‘The Lord’ is apparently a fucking cruel asshole rapist dirtbag; either that, or just his most visible spokespeople are fucking cruel asshole rapist dirtbags.
Primates. Rooting around and rolling in the dirt, proclaiming themselves the Favorites of the Invisible Fairy In The Sky. It’s such a mockery, and would automatically be hilarious if so many did not suffer and perish on their account.

This might be a little off-topic, but I’ve got to throw it out there. My son Jeremy has taken on a minor obsession of climbing Montara Mountain on bicycle with some regularity, a non-trivial task I’ve only taken on a few times in the past dozen years or so of living in its proximity. After his last climb he shared a profound realization. Looking down from 1700 feet to the coast highway at sea level, he noted how the cars are essentially on the scale of what we see when we look at ants. Why would God, he thought, bother to make something so tiny and relatively insignificant as humans, at least from the perspective of his lofty perch? And why, when he had done so, would he feel any sense of a need to be worshiped by the pitiful little things? Kind of makes you think again about the whole idea of “made in his image” and how ridiculous it is.
