In ’2312′, KSR is slamming various icy bodies into the poor girl, trying to spin her up and make her breathable.
It’s a lovely book. I so love this book.

Max: I had the ‘live feed’ from the ‘Big Island’ on for hours as Venus (very) slowly tracked across the face of Old Sol. Thanks.
byronius: Must get a copy ASAP. I found a rather free-wheeling review by ‘The Speculative Scotsman’ here.
Mars’ rotation period is almost the same as Earth’s (~24 hrs.)… so I need to read 2312 to understand why Mars would require a ‘spin up’…

I assume KSR must be spinning up Venus. By 2312 he’s got Mars turned into a paradise already. That’s the easy job.

This book is getting a little dark and scary. I don’t like Earth. Especially China. Want to leave.

Reality is getting a little dark and scary. I don’t like Earth what we’ve done to Earth. Especially Corporations. Want to leave with space hippies.
