50 years ago yesterday, the ‘Stones played their first gig at the Marquee Club in London, England. It was 12 July 1962.

While The Fabs packed it in as a band in 1970, the Stones are still occasionally playing out with charter members Charlie Watts, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. If anyone back in the ’60′s had told them that The Rolling Stones would still be a going concern right into the 21st century, they’d have been laughed out of the room!
