Scary admin note

onceknownasadmin, 2013/03/02

I’m moving the site to a new server tomorrow. Expect massive problems about noon.

For all I know this might be the last 24 hours of NW life as we know it, so get your pithy posts up now.

It looks like the transfer is now complete. The only casualty was apparently one comment I left for Sky telling him not to celebrate yet.

New-worlds has left its former home at typhoon.he.net and now we live at lithium.he.net. I guess that means we can relax a bit.

The video looks different. Why does the video look different? That man didn’t have golden mom-pants on before, did he? And look what it did to their hair!

OMG, the hair. Good lord, the hair. I have never seen hair such as that hair.

    This new server itches.

Actually, it’s a decent live version of that song, if you ignore the Magnificent Hair.

I mean, two of those dudes are Bumpin’ It, man.

Lithium.he.net is direct to Homeland Security, right? They can just catch us in the auto-image. Skip the middle server, no bothersome copying.

Lithium. Weird substance. What do we really know about lithium, anyway?

The name even sounds alien. Lithium.

I knew you’d have fun with this.

A couple hours ago I clicked to NW on the Mac laptop and it had completely vanished. I was re-directed to the Hurricane Electric homepage. I assumed somehow they’d dumped it and had a moment of panic. Then it came back. Weird and scary. Don’t do that again lithium love.

I miss typhoon a little. Did you know we were always in a typhoon? Now we’ll always be on lithium. Is that a good thing?

It happened to me again when I tried to access the blog from work. I think it’s a cache issue because shift-reload fixed it. Let me know if anyone else runs into it (of course, you have to successfully access the site to do so).

I used shift-reload and it bit me, then laughed.

Are you sure about this new server? Because I made a whole post to honor it, but now it’s bit me, and I don’t like being laughed at.
