A truly great human. The world is a poorer place for his passing.
He had a productive and long life, especially considering some of the ‘housing’ he was forced to endure for much of it.

Right. It’s not as if he was taken from us ‘too soon’. The man was 95, after all.
We see in Mandela an almost christ-like person. Love, Peace and Forgiveness… Something which could have easily become vengeance. He simply wouldn’t ALLOW it!
I believe in ‘Random acts of Kindness’.

Let us also recall that Ronald Reagan vetoed every bill the Dems passed to slap sanctions on South Africa for it’s monstrous policies of Apartheid. Thankfully, Mandela didn’t need our help. A stain on “Saint Ronnie” for sure.

Dick Cheney said, after Mandela’s passing, that he didn’t regret voting against sanctions to, among other things, convince South Africa to free political prisoners, because Mandela was a “terrorist.”

The entire African National Congress (ANC) was labelled a ‘terrorist organisation’ by both South Africa and the US.
Standard oppressor tactic. Call your opponents ‘Terrorists’. Faux ‘News’ Bill O’Reilly said he was a ‘Communist’. That was the standard American epithet for those we didn’t like…
Cheney is just an asshole. Who CARES what he thinks?
